The truth
A couple of years ago, I was watching pastor Benny Hinn when he made a statement I will never forget. He said,
“There is more authority in the little finger of a believer than all the demons in hell combined.”
As soon as he said that, I started wondering why there was very little evidence of this in the church. And the more I mulled over it, the more I realized that deception and ignorance were to blame.
In Hosea 4:6, the Scripture says that God’s people perish for lack of knowledge. When you are ignorant of what you have, you cannot use it.
And the devil capitalizes on your ignorance to keep you in bondage. That is why Jesus said,
And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free. John 8:32, KJV
Notice, it is not the truth that will set you free – it is the truth you know that will set you free.
As you study the ministry of Jesus, you will notice a close correlation between his teaching and his miracles. He exposed people to the light of the word and then healed them.
He showed them the truth, and the truth set them free.
It is time to wake up to the reality of God’s word – and that is that you have dominion over all of God’s creation. Even the angels realize and are mesmerized by this (Psalms 8).
If you wake up to this reality, your situation will change instantly. Revelation always brings a revolution.
PRAYER:
Father in heaven, thank you for reminding me about the dominion that you have given me. Help me not to lose grip of this as I start on a journey of exercising this authority. Amen.
